Dr. Bill Stuebing became a trustee in 1995.
Bill has been married to Linda since 1973 and has four children who are all graduates of Red Deer Public Schools. They have been very actively involved in their children's schools since their eldest entered Kindergarten in 1980.
Bill holds a PhD from the University of Alberta and has taught Sociology and Criminology at Red Deer College since 1972. He also has experience as a consultant and has served in wide variety of volunteer roles in the community.
Bill is an advocate for strengthening public schools, both locally in Red Deer and in Alberta as a whole. He believes that Red Deer Public Schools are not only to educate children, but to build the future of our community. His continuing motivation is the conviction that he can help the Board meet the challenge of trusteeship and to see the Board be as open, transparent and accountable as possible.
"Trusteeship can be likened to running a kind of never-ending relay race; every accomplishment reveals both new challenges and new opportunities. Yet there remains one constant: Every child is important."
