Learning Services - Coordinator, Learning Services
My name is Anie Wells, and I feel very privileged to be working as Coordinator of International Languages as part of the District's Learning Services team.
I am originally from the province of Quebec, and I moved to Alberta in 1989 to begin my teaching career in Rocky Mountain House as a French Immersion teacher. I then moved to Calgary to teach in a charter school while doing my Masters degree from the University of Portland. I have been an administrator for the Red Deer Public School District since 1998, serving as a French Immersion and Spanish Bilingual principal.
I am a strong believer in the importance of learning a second language and the benefits it brings to our students. I look forward to supporting teachers and students in language programming, including French as a Second Language. Let's make all our programs captivating and engaging for our students! Don't hesitate to reach out to me any time you need.
Have a great school year, and I look forward to building our work together!
