Fees and Refunds

Important Information: Full REFUND will be given to RDPSD students and those Guest students under 19 years upon successful completion of their course(s) and all materials are returned before October 18, 2024 for those courses that are refundable. Please note that once the registration is completed the student is obligated to participate in summer school classes or they will forfeit the entire Registration payment - NO refunds.  It is very important that a student does not register for summer school until they are 100% committed to attending. 

If a student decides Not to attend summer school OR withdraws after the registration form is completed they FORFEIT the entire registration payment - NO Refund. 

Once you have committed to the course(s) upon registration,  this cannot be changed by the student/parent after the deadline of June 3, as teachers have been hired to offer each of the classes accordingly.  Course availability may be subject to change depending on enrollment numbers.  We reserve the right to cancel any registrations due to low enrollment.  If WE cancel the course due to low enrollment numbers, we will give the option to switch course(s) or refund payment. 

Fee structure for Summer School:

Current Red Deer Area Student

Current Red Deer Public School Student - Students 19 years or under as of September 1, 2023 (Has been attending a Red Deer Public School)

Course Registration Fee (All) :  $100.00.  This is a refundable deposit upon successful completion of course AND return of all materials.

Sports Performance (ATHLETE) A portion of this fee is NON-REFUNDABLE ($25.00). The student will receive a T shirt upon completion of program. There is financial aid and/or Scholarships available upon request (must meet criteria).

Foods : A portion of this fee is NON-REFUNDABLE ($25.00).

This does not include current International Students or Adult Students

Guest Student (3 Categories) These students must reside in Central Alberta  Area (Student NOT currently attending any Red Deer Public School)

1. Non RDPSD Student - Students 19 years or under as of September 1, 2023

Course Registration Fee (All):  $100.00  This is a refundable deposit upon successful completion of course AND return of all materials.

*Sports Performance (ATHLETE) A portion of this fee is NON-REFUNDABLE ($25.00). The student will receive a T shirt upon completion of program. 

*Foods: A portion of this fee is NON-REFUNDABLE ($25.00).


2. Adult Students - Students 20 years or older as of September 1, 2023

Course Registration Fee:  $800.00  (not refunded)  

Deposit on materials/all courses $100.00  (refunded upon successful completion of course and all materials returned)

         Total payable at Registration  $900.00


3. International Students - (Students host family must be Red Deer Public) 

Course Registration Fee:  $880.00  (not refunded)

Deposit on materials/all courses $100.00  (refunded upon successful completion of course and all materials returned) 

     Total payable at Registration  $980.00


PLEASE BE AWARE THAT A STUDENT MUST RETURN ALL THEIR COURSE MATERIALS BY OCTOBER 18, 2024 TO RECEIVE THEIR REFUNDS.

There is only a partial Refund for Sports Performance (ATHLETE) and Foods $75.00. Refunds process will begin after October 21, 2024.
