Graduation 2024

Grad 2024 is on Friday, June 14, 2024

  • Keep your contact information current. Please inform Tammy of any changes to your contact information.  We use email and texts to send information regarding graduation.  If you do not already receive text messages from RDPSD please text Y to 978338.

Eligibility to Graduate

  • To be eligible to participate in the graduation ceremonies, the student must be registered in all of the required credits to complete their program and be approximately 80% complete in each course by June 1, 2024 and have completed all of their requirements by the end of June 2024.  

  • It is the responsibility of the student to ensure that they are on the official list by checking with Tammy Keeping.  If they are not on the grad list, they must speak to Tammy or an administrator to find out why.  It may not be too late to rectify the situation and be able to graduate. 

  • It is the responsibility of the graduating students to ensure the spelling of their name is correct on the Grad List.  Contact Tammy if there are any errors or omissions.

PowerSchool

  • Keep up with your student’s progress in their classes.

    • Choose PowerSchool for Students in your App store

    • For Student sign in you will need your child's Student Web ID and Student Password. The District code is: JBGT 

    • If your child does not provide their Web ID & password, please contact the school and we will be happy to provide it for you.

myPass

  • myPass is an Alberta Education secure self-service website for high school students to:

    • View and print diploma exam results statements

    • Order transcripts

    • and more

  • Visit myPass.alberta.ca to request access

    • It may take up to 2 weeks to receive the PIN number required to gain access.

  • Schools can no longer give transcripts.

  • We can provide you with your Alberta Student Number tonight.  

Information Items

  • Conduct at Graduation Events

    • We expect our graduating students to behave appropriately and according to school policy at graduation.  Disrespectful behaviour will be dealt with accordingly.

    • As with all RDPSD events, the Alternative Graduation is a school event that prohibits attendees under the influence. Anyone deemed to be symptomatic of being under the influence will be asked to leave.

  • All students will be recognized at one event.

  • Seating is on the ground- students and families are welcome to bring lawn chairs.

  • All guests of the graduate are welcome to join for the full ceremony- because we are in a public park there are no limits to the number of guests.

  • Please cheer for all students crossing the stage.

Graduation Photos

  • Appointments must be made online Link to book will be available beginning in February

  • There is a $40 sitting fee.  Please speak to Tammy Keeping if this is problematic for your family.

  • Please avoid scheduling your photo session during classes and take care to arrive 10 minutes early for your appointment.

  • Students are to wear a dress shirt and tie or a scoop neck/ v-neck shirt.

Graduation Rings

  • Rings can be ordered at any time at Jostens Rings Canada

    • Deposits with monthly payment options are available.

Grad Equity/Grad Dream Team

  • We have access to a couple of opportunities that  provide suits or gowns to grads who would like to  be able to participate in the full grad fancy attire experience but may need an option that is of no cost to the family.

  • Students wishing to participate can contact Mrs. Keeping, or Ms. Darling by phone, email or in person.
