Emergency Updates
It's been great to have our students and staff back together in the classroom. Things look different, but we are committed to ensuring safe and healthy environments for all students and staff.
The circumstances surrounding COVID-19 are fluid and continually evolving. We are committed to maintaining open and timely communication with our families as we continue to be provided with new direction from the government surrounding school re-entry.
It is important to note that decisions regarding school re-entry are made by Alberta’s Chief Medical Officer of Health and Alberta Education. Red Deer Public Schools will follow all guidelines set out by these authorities.
Please know, the health and well-being of our students and staff is top priority for Red Deer Public. We encourage you to review our 2022 Handbook for Students and Families, which is a comprehensive guide to back to school.
After reviewing the handbook, if you have any further questions, we encourage you to submit them under the 'Ask Us A Question' tab. Answers to our most asked questions will be posted in the Re-Entry FAQs tab.
The situation surrounding COVID-19 is evolving with time. We will regularly update this page as our plans continue to take shape. We encourage you to keep checking back for the latest information.
