Given that yellow bus stop times can change as new students are added, it's advisable to check PowerSchool the night before the first day of school for any updates. Additionally, regularly monitoring PowerSchool during the first month is recommended to stay informed of any changes.

MUST APPLY FOR BUSING EACH YEAR

It is essential that students apply for transportation services each year. Application forms are submitted online using Powerschool and School Engage. School engage will be activated for the next school year starting May 1st each year. City Transit apps will be activated on Aug 15th for Middle and High School in Powerschool. (See Application Forms for more information)

CHARTER (YELLOW) BUS ROUTES: Bus stop locations are determined by the number of eligible students registered to use the service. While we strive to maintain consistent bus stops, occasional relocations may occur. Further information is available under Bus Route Information

RDPSD expects that no bus stop will be more than 500 meters from the residence of eligible students. This does not apply to ineligible students, who may need to use the nearest available stop. Buses will not be rerouted, and stops will generally not be added for ineligible students. Bus stops are only created in residential areas. Commercial, retail, hotels, or office building areas will not be considered for a stop due to safety concerns.

Transportation for students in French Immersion is included in our listing of bus routes. French Immersion schools include Mountview Elementary, Oriole Park Elementary, Barry Wilson Elementary, Central Middle School (City Transit),and Lindsay Thurber Comprehensive High School (City Transit). Gateway Christian School and Escuela Vista Grande Spanish Bilingual are also in our route listing and are considered School of choice.
