Hockey Academy

If you are a hockey player looking to bring your game to the next level, this program is for you! The Hockey Academy develops players in an engaging and fun atmosphere.

Regardless of a player's current skill level, the Hockey Academy is committed to the development of each student athlete's individual playing skills, confidence and overall athletic development. From recreational to Triple AAA, every student athlete is challenged.

Middle school students will receive approximately 80+ hours of on-ice training, strength, conditioning, speed training and other multi-sports opportunities. Middle School Academies operate for the entire school year and will be held every other day.

High school students will receive approximately 80+ hours of on-ice skill development, strength, conditioning, and speed training. This program runs one semester long, either the first or second semester during block one daily. Parents are responsible for getting students to the venues for training in the morning, and Red Deer Public Schools will transport students to their home school for the start of block 2.

The long term development plan will see athletes progress through extensive skills curriculum both on and off the ice.

Please note, this is not a learn to skate program. Academy students are expected to have basic knowledge and development of skating, puck handling, passing and shooting skills to enroll in this program.
