Academic Intervention Program:  Pines Alternative Programs offers educational programming for students who have gaps in their learning or are struggling with their education for grades 9-12.  The staff use the Knowledge and Employability curriculum to help students succeed and work toward a Provincial Certificate of Achievement (80 credits) and in some cases students will move to a full Provincial diploma (100 credits).  Individual support and mentoring is an important part of establishing success for each student in the program.

Alternative Academic Programs:  The Pines Alternative School Centre and North Cottage are school programs provided to support the unique and individual needs of each student. Programs include teacher directed instruction and online learning. The goal is to provide a successful path for students to complete high school course requirements and obtain their Provincial high school diploma.

Institutional Programs: Direwood Treatment Centre, Aurora, Youth Assessment Centre, and Red Deer Regional Hospital include a school program for students in addition to treatment programs provided by Child and Family Services Authority and David Thompson Health Region Mental Health Services. Students are provided an individualized program of study and supports to transition back to a regular school or alternative program.
