The City Wide School Council Committee provides opportunities for school councils to enhance communication together with school councils, the Board of Trustees, administration, and the community on education matters.
The DELF is recognized in 175 countries and is offered by 1200 accredited centres throughout the world, including, 37 in Canada. As an official certification of second-language proficiency, the DELF tests the ability of students to use French in real-life situations.
Each school employs a Learning Assistance teacher and Educational Assistants who focus on support for curriculum, staff capacity building and collaboration to support the learning of students with diverse learning needs.
The electronic translation service is hosted by Google Translate. The quality of the translation will vary in some of the languages offered by Google. Google Translate is a free service and currently offers translation in over 50 languages, although an impressive number, this does not capture all languages or dialects. The basic translation’s goal is to capture the general intention of the original English material.
